About

Michael Geyer, a Cincinnati native, began writing really bad poetry in high school, but had a terrific creative writing teacher that continued to nurture his love of this condensed form of literature. While in engineering school he managed to squeeze two poetry classes into his schedule and kept writing. After graduating from the U.C. College of Engineering he worked as an engineer for four years before embarking on a career change. During this time writing took a back seat in his life. After getting serious again about writing some time later he spent years searching for the perfect writing group. Some years ago he managed to find out about the Cincinnati Writer's Project and has counted the group members as an important part of his life. He currently teaches high school chemistry, writes poetry between bells, loves the element mercury, and lives in the suburb of Montgomery with his wife and son.
